Members of the :Marumalarchi”(DIFSO/NAFSO) women’s Federation and DIFSO staffs organized an exhibition of their productions based on the livelihood assistance program which was conducted by National Fisheries Solidarity Movement last year.

The exhibition was on 19th of February 2021 at the weekly market in Batticaloa. Mr.Sarvananda,Chairman and three women members of the Eravurpatru,Chenkaladi Pradesiya Saba, Secretary, Government officers, Civil society representatives, and NAFSO coordinators participated in the exhibition.

Women members convinced their issues to the politicians who participated during the exhibition. Transport issues, basic needs,destroy the co-existence, between fisheries issues, and housing problems are the main issues the women highlighted in the program.

In the meanwhile of the discussion, the Chairman of the Pradesiya Saba contacted the officers of the wildlife department over the phone and appointed of the people. As well as women members of the Marumalarchi and NAFSO staff also were invited by the Chairman of Pradesiya Saba to discuss the issues which were raised by the women next month.
