Valarpirei Women District committte and Nesakaram Citizen Committee at Mannar district launched a protest at Mannar district secretariat demanding to support to complete the construction of the houses of resettled people those who were displaced during the war. The construction was began in 2018 and the present government has abandoned the work.

Benedict Croos, the DIFSO-Mannar Coordinator said, “Our people were displaced due to war and began their resettlement after suffering of long period. The construction of houses was began by previous government in 2018 and abandoned now. We demand

to complete the construction of while handing over a petition to DS Mannar. We hope government will listen to our people’s just request immediately”
