"Kilakkusuriyam" Women District Committee Meeting

 NAFSO has recently commenced a series of discussions with all District Women's Committees with the aim of revitalizing the existing Women's District Committees in the districts in which they operate.

The purpose of this dialogue is to identify and analyze the socio-economic and livelihood problems faced by people in the area especially women and in areas affected by the corona epidemic.

Two more meetings of this series were held in Ampara and Batticaloa districts, on the August 21/22. These discussions were held based on 04 main themes.

They are….

1. What is the socio-economic trajectory of Sri Lanka after the recent general elections in Sri Lanka?

2. How to build the socio-economic background of rural women who have collapsed in the face of the current corona epidemic?

3. How can the microfinance programs implemented by private banks and companies today alleviate the problems faced by rural women?

4. The importance of District Women's Committees and how to develop there future plans?

The discussion was held on 17/18/20/21 in Ampara, Batticaloa, Mannar, Kilinochchi and other districts with the participation of a large number of women members. A number of ideas were received from the women members present to draw up a plan for the future and those ideas were brought to the attention of the district staff to design more proactive district plans.

නෆ්සෝ ආයතනය ක්රියාත්මකවන දිස්ත්රික්කවල දැනට පවතින කාන්තා දිස්ත්රික් කමිටු සඳහා නව ජීවයක් ලබාදීමේ අරමුණින් සංවාද මාලාවක් සියලු දිස්ත්රික් කාන්තා කමිටු සමග මෑතකදී ආරම්භ කොට තිබේ. විශේෂයෙන් කොරෝනා වසංගතයෙන් පීඩාවට පත්වූ ග්රාමීය ප්රදේශවල කඩාවැටුණු සමාජ ආර්ථික ගැටළු සහ කාන්තාවන් මුහුණපාන ජීවන ගැටළු හඳුනා ගැනීම විග්ග්රහකර ගැනීම මෙම සංවාද මාලාවේ අරමුනයි.

මෙම අරමුණු ඉලක්ක කරගත් රැස්වීම් මාලාවේ තවත් රැස්වීම් 02ක් පසුගිය අගෝස්තු 21/22 දිනවලදී අම්පාර සහ මඩකලපු දිස්ත්රික් වලදී පැවැත්විණ. ප්රධාන තේමා 05 ඔස්සේ මෙම සංවාද පවත් වනු ලැබිණ.

ඒවානම්

1. මෑතකදී ශ්රී ලංකාවේදී පැවැත්වුණු මහ මැතිවරණයෙන් පසු ලංකාවේ සමාජ ආර්ථික ගමන් මග කෙබඳු වේද?

2.වත්මන් කොරෝන වසංගතය හමුවේ කඩාවැටුණු ග්රාමීය කාන්තාවන්ගේ සමාජ ආර්ථික පසුබිම ගොඩනගන්නේ කෙසේද?

3. වර්තමානයේ පුද්ගලික බැංකු සහ සමාගම් ක්රියාත්මක කරන ක්ෂුද්ර මුල්ය ණයවැඩසටහන් නිසා ගම්බද කාන්තාවන් මුහුණ පාන ගැටලුවලින් ඔවුන් මුදවා ගන්නේ කෙසේද?

4, දිස්ත්රික් කාන්තා කමිටුවල වැදගත්කම සහ ඔවුන්ගේ ඉදිරි වැඩ පිළිවෙල විය යුත්තේ කුමක්ද?

මෙම සංවාදය කාන්ත සාමාජිකයන් විශාල පිරිසකගේ සහභාගිත්වයෙන් අම්පාර, මඩකලපුව, මන්නාරම කිලිනොච්චිය ආදී දිස්තික්ක රැසක පසුගිය 17/18/20/21 දිනවලදී පැවැත්විණ.

ඉදිරි වැඩපිළිවෙලක් සකසා ගැනීම පිණිස අදහස් රැසක් එහිදී පැමිණ සිටි කාන්තා සාමාජිකයන් වෙතින් ලැබුණු අතර එම අදහස් දිස්ත්රික් කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයේ අවධානය වෙත යොමුවිය.
